A big heart in a small country store

Family, from everywhere, united under one roof. We want Battlefield to be a safe place for everyone to come and enjoy good company over comfort food. And if you don't have family nearby, we'll be your family.

Everything we do starts with a simple purpose: to serve our community with quality food, fair prices, and genuine care. That mission isn't something that lives on a wall plaque. It's the standard behind every decision we make, from how we stock our shelves to how we greet you when you walk through the door.

When you come to us, you're trusting us with something real: your meals, your budget, your routine. We earn that trust one visit at a time, by showing up consistently and with integrity, every single day.

  Quality isn't about perfection. It's about caring for the food we serve, the store we keep, and the service we give. We don't walk past a problem, and we present every product the way we'd want to find it, so you leave feeling better than when you arrived.

Our owner, Jeff, opened The Battlefield Country Store in 2016 while winding down a career in the Air Force. He calls himself the risk taker: he bet on himself, worked harder than he thought he could, and built a store where the design was always about family.

1. 2016

   The doors open on Plank Road, right across from the First Day at Chancellorsville battlefield: an old-fashioned country store with a deli, a bakery case, and a front porch made for sitting a spell.

2. 2018

   We add our ice cream bar, and the milkshakes have been getting bigger ever since.

3. 2021

   Battlefield Coffee Company opens its espresso bar, with coffee roasted right here and poured by professionally trained baristas.

4. 2026

   We turn 10! We celebrate with our second Highland Games, armored knight fights, and a “10 Years in the Shaking” milkshake.

5. Today

   More than 100,000 neighbors follow along online, and the heart of it hasn't changed: good food, no fluff, and a warm welcome for anybody who walks through the door.
